Jomar’s Bill Petrino passes away at 65

Bill Petrino, president of blowmolding machinery supplier Jomar Corp., passed away on April 20 while awaiting a bone marrow donor match. Petrino took over as president of Jomar in 1983 and over the next 30 years, helped grow the manufacturer of injection blowmolding machinery (IBM) into a global supplier, adding an office in the U.K. and sales representatives in more than 40 countries to support the more than 1000 Jomar machines installed around the world. Nissei sets up second overseas production base in Thailand

Japanese machine builder Nissei Plastic Industrial (Nagano) has completed construction of a plant in Thailand for manufacturing injection presses. Full-scale operation is slated to commence in May, with output targeted at Thailand, elsewhere in Southeast Asia, and West Asia, as well as utilizing FTA (Free Trade Agreement) and EPA (Economic Partnership Agreement) to strategize global sales.
