It may not change any entrenched opinions, but, for the record, the European Union’s food safety watchdog has just published a report that categorically states that humans face no health risks from exposure to bisphenol A (BPA). The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA; Parma, Italy) came to the conclusion following a new risk assessment, its first since 2006, and this despite reducing the safe level of BPA from 50 micrograms to 4 micrograms per kilogram of body weight per day.
