Persistent months-long lobbying by medical device manufacturers to repeal a 2.3% tax in the 2010 Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) paid off when Republican House members added the repeal to its attack on the national health care legislation. The Republican-dominated House passed two amendments yesterday morning. The first would delay Obamacare for a year, and the second would repeal the medical device tax.
