Chemtech Plastics expands capabilities and capacity

Chemtech Plastics has purchased a second building and lot adjacent to the company’s current location in Elgin, IL, with plans to add 12-14 injection molding machines as innovative molding and assembly cells spur growth for the custom molder. The building will provide an additional 60,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space. Chemtech currently operates out of a 70,000-sq-ft facility. Haitian International will unveil its latest developments in its fully electric injection molding machines at K 2013 (Düsseldorf, Germany; Oct. 16-23) as it eyes continued acceleration into the most demanding markets such as medical, packaging and electronic. Nearly 3000 of its Zhafir Venus II Series have been sold since their introduction in 2007. The company says that sales numbers double each year, and its engineers continue to optimize the machines.
