A polypropylene (PP) grade with 20% short glass fiber reinforcement has been applied in a structural foam injection molding process (SFIM) to mold a dashboard carrier and air ducts in the FAW-VW Golf A7. The Fibermod GE277AIC grade from Borouge (Singapore) reportedly achieves high flowability paired with high stiffness and impact ratio, realizing high flow length and low wall thickness, plus high dimensional stability and weld strength.
