All Sites In 2011, the first charges were filed against vehicle parts suppliers in a price-fixing scheme affecting $5 billion in parts sold to U.S. vehicle makers. In September 2013, nine Japan-based firms and two executives agreed to plead guilty and pay fines. In all, some 23 U.S. companies and 26 executives were caught up in the price-fixing scheme and have agreed to pay more than $1.8 billion in criminal fines. read more
