The 2013 models of Ford Motor Co.’s Edge and Lincoln MKX incorporate a one-piece injection-molded armrest designed to collapse upon impact. The part is molded from an ABS grade supplied by MRC Polymers (Chicago, IL) and molded by Johnson Controls. Tooling was fabricated by Tool Plas (Oldcastle, ON).
