Chinese company Greenpak has installed a seven-layer Evolution blown film line from Reifenhäuser Kiefel Extrusion, establishing the company as the first producer of barrier film in the greater Shanghai area.  Since the line came on stream, Greenpak has been producing symmetric and asymmetric barrier films for end products in the growing food and packaging industries, especially for those who are new to this market. Toray Plastics recently launched its Torayfan MWX6 metallized white cavitated biaxially-oriented polypropylene film, targeting gas-flushed packaging applications.
