Two big medical reshoring projects have prompted a significant expansion at GW Plastics in the Southwest. A 12,000 square foot clean room expansion is now open at its Tucson, AZ plant for medical device assembly and packaging. Company officials said that a program currently in production at GW’s Dongguan, China facility consisting of precision molding, assembly and packaging for a drug delivery device created the opportunity for the development of a new application with the same customer.
