At  K 2013  (Oct. 16-23; Dusseldorf, Germany), Kiefel, SML, Braskem and Milliken will combine both machine and material capabilities for a clear polypropylene product. Transparent, deep-draw cups produced live by Kiefel will let visitors see the high clarity and performance that can be achieved with Braskem’s Inspire 224 PP containing Milliken’s clarifying agent, Millad NXTM 8000, according to a news release. Weatherchem adds Engel e-motion injection molding machine

Sabic adds bimodal HDPE blowmolding grades to product portfolio

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic) is entering the bimodal high density polyethylene (HDPE) market, with plans to start commercial production this year. “Some processors are concerned about future supply of bimodal HDPE grades from Europe, so we think this is the right time for us to support the market by including bimodal HDPE blowmolding grades in Sabic’s product portfolio,” said Mario Scholle, business manager of bimodal HDPE at SABIC, in the news release.
